T G Sutherland took a team of 6 horses to the historic annual Carrathool races on Saturday 1/2/2014.

Running on the dirt track, more synonymous with racing in the US of A, Trevor had 3 winners, a 2nd and a 3rd and claimed the $14,500 Carrathool Cup.

The standout performer on the day was Lockmar, who bounced back to form in super style scoring the CUP by 9.5 Lengths in a sizzling 1.22.83 easing up.
Sutherland commented "this performance has been coming for a while, I think Locky has been a little unlucky in his last few with some average rides, and this performance would have him right there with the open company at the big Wagga or Albury tracks".

Loves to Listen confirmed her potential, and ran up to her recent solid runs, scoring in the first for jockey michael hackett. Sutherland and Hackett teamed up for a double on the day.

In a welcome result for the stable Totally alert lived up to the high expectations placed on her by excellent trackwork and scorched around the 1000m BREAKING 57.5 seconds, beating stable mate scruffs dream to land the QUINELLA!!

Trevor was pleased saying "this is what we have been seeing from her in work (Totally alert), we know she is fast and it is good to see her really let down, I thought scruff ran a gallant 2nd as well, and the time was excellent" he continued " it's been an excellent day, fairly warm out here for the horses but I train them for this and it doesn't faze me, and It's nice to see the track in great condition so credit to the Carathool race committee for putting on the day".
