In front of a huge 3 day crowd Peter Gelagotis produced his gun wet tracker Mossale to win on day 2 of the famous Warrnambool Carnival with a gutsy performance lumping 60kg over the 1700m journey. It was the trainers first winner at this prestigious event which is considered by many the premier country racing program in Australia showcasing jumps racing and of course some very famous races including the Warrnambool Cup which the stable had 2 runners in Mourinho and Hvasstan.

"It was always on my bucket list to train a winner at Warrnambool and Mossale gave a very good kick at the 400m by Mark Zahra to hold off Clang And Dazzle and the effort was brave and well deserved as the horse was running into some good form and thoroughly made the trip worthwhile for a great bunch of owners and my team who had planned this race for some time " said Peter Gelagotis

Also in the ownership was sporting identity and media personality Matthew Campbell who was thrilled with the win and in the post race interviews gave a glowing report on his first experience at the Bool and promised to be back in the future and hopefully it will be with Team Gelagotis !
