THREE-YEAR-OLD filly Radiant Angel has enhanced her pedigree with a city win first-up from a freshen-up.
Having her first run since April, she won a Class 5 (1000m) at Eagle Farm on Wednesday, June 25.
Ridden by Tim Bell, she scored by three-quarters of a length as a $7 chance.
"It was great to see her back after a short let-up,'' said trainer Stuart Kendrick.
"She won two last time in but it was great to get a city win as she is a half-sister to Scratch Me Lucky, who was a Group 1 place-getter in the ATC Sires Produce this year,'' he said.
"She (Radiant Angel) was recommended to me by Stuart Ramsay from Turrunga Farm.''
Radiant Angel has now won four of 12 starts, including three of five runs since joining Kendrick Racing.
She'll now try to add a metropolitan victory to her credentials.
"We will look at a no metropolitan fillies and mares race over the next few weeks,'' said Kendrick.
The win was one of two for the Kendrick-Bell combination within five days.
They also teamed up to win with the Dalan Tamblyn-owned Queen Caesar in a Class 3 SW (1200m) at Ipswich on Friday, June 20.
Queen Caesar has now won three of her past six starts, including two of her past three.
