DARBY Racing five-year-old Sari showed she's back better than ever with a breakthrough win in sizzling time second-up from a spell.

She broke the class record in winning the XXXX Class 5 (1200m) at the Sunshine Coast on Friday, October 17.

Ridden by Brad Stewart, Sari ($4.20) scored by one-and-a-quarter lengths.

She stopped the clock at 1min 10.92secs, including 34.41secs for her last 600m.

It was her first win since an Eagle Farm Class 5 (1000m) back in April, although that was just four starts ago as she spelled after starting at the end of May.

"It was good to see her back in the winner's stall,'' said trainer Stuart Kendrick.

"She's a lot bigger and stronger this time in,'' he said.

"It was a great win in a record time."

Darby Racing went close to making it two Sunshine Coast wins in three days when debutante Spur Le Jouer finished third in a QTIS 3YO Maiden Plate (1200m) on Sunday, October 19.

The Jet Spur colt was beaten less than half-a-length in a blanket finish at his first start.
