Punters were on the mark at the Gosford Race Club's race meeting held on Thursday 30th October when Dubawi Dream (4yo bay entire by Dubawi out of Dream Beauty) saluted the judge, winning by 5 1/4 lengths easing down, after being heavily backed in late - $5.40 into $3.20 favourite.

It was a nice ride by Tim Clark, taking the lead early, he allowed the horse to roll along at a good clip, temporarily joined by the Gosford trained Golden Rule on his outside, Tim
maintained his position and on approaching the 500m mark asked his mount for an effort. Itwas a winning move, under vigourous riding by Clark, the horse was pulling away from the rest of the field with every stride in the home straight, going to the post under a hold. Sweet Jaffa trained by Rick Worthington finished 2nd with the Anthony Cummings trained Poet's Fortune in 3rd position.

After a disappointing outing last start, trainer Scott Singleton was "miffed" by Dubawi Dream's performance (beaten by over 24 lengths) on the Kensington track on Wednesday 22nd October. Scott commented " the horse pulled up fine after the run, I couldn't find anything wrong physically, the only thing I can think of is that he must have "squeezed" himself and wasn't too happy about it ... he is well developed in that part of his anatomy. After the win today, he'll be in for a good prep."

Congratulations to the owners Mr Lam and Ms Johnson. One of the stable's long-term clients, Mr Lam and Ms Johnson have had several horses under Scott's care, with the words Hong Kong featuring in their names - Mr Hong Kong, Miss Hong Kong, Milady Hong Kong....who says dreams don't come true.
