TOWNSVILLE owner and breeder Dalan Tamblyn's good-producing mare To Please A Lady has another winner on her pedigree after Queen Caesar's QTIS success at the Gold Coast.

The three-year-old mare, by Holy Roman Emperor, broke through in a 3YO Maiden (1400m) for Tamblyn and Kendrick Racing on Saturday, December 7, pocketing a QTIS bonus in the process.

KASIANO LAD showed a toughness that represents his namesake to win the 1200m Lake Illawarra CG&E Maiden Plate at Kembla Grange.

Tommy Berry was quickly away from the inside gate and was able to dictate the race to suit himself. KASIANO LAD wanted to hang out from the 500m mark, which allowed the heavily supported favourite room on the fence to attack KASIANO LAD in the home straight. He looked to be headed at the 200m mark, but fought doggedly to score his first victory by half a length from CENTRE PIVOT with HANDYMAN BOB a further length away running third.

DARBY Racing and Kendrick Racing could have their first Magic Millions Classic 2YO runner after debutant Celestial Dragon's impressive win on a soggy Doomben.

The Hidden Dragon two-year-old, ridden by Tim Bell, led all the way in the QTIS 2YO (1100m) on Saturday, November 30.

"He's Magic Millions bound,'' trainer Stuart Kendrick said after the win.

"At this stage he'll start again in three weeks at Doomben in another $50,000 QTIS race and then it will be three weeks into the Magic Millions,'' he said.

"If he wins in three weeks he'll definitely be in the Magic Millions field. He's probably done enough to make the field now."
