New Racing Season Win For Town

It appears a bold training adventure by Peter Gelagotis has paid off for connections with promising stayer Heytown Lad who won very well at Geelong over 2000m at his second race start however it was on his debut that raised eyebrows when he made his debut at the same track over 2000m where he flashed home for a great 2nd indicating better things to come and this is not normal in Australia for horses to race over staying trips at their first start and it was a great effort by the trainer and horse to deal with the circumstances presented.

The momentum continues to build for David with Wishmore's victory at Doomben on Wednesday. The very consistent galloper stormed down the outside to take victory at good odds in the Class 3 over 1615 metres. He was a clear last on the corner but as he always does, dug deep to win.

Wagga and SDRA CHAMPION trainer Trevor Sutherland Completed a "Double Double" when Sound the alert scored his dominating victory by 4.3L at Gundagai's Sunday 4/8/13 m .... race.

This followed a solid victory by Our True matriarch in race 2, a 1000m maiden, scoring by 1.5L and capped a big few weeks with Sutherland bagging a double at Narrandera to complete a SDRA DOUBLE DOUBLE in consecutive meetings.

Metro Win For Lighfeet Lady

THE stocks of Townsville breeder Dalan Tamblyn's mare To Please A Lady are on the rise after Lightfeet Lady's first metropolitan win at Eagle Farm on Saturday (August 3).

And the start of Lightfeet Lady's own career at stud may be deferred after she led all the way in the F&M NWM (1200m).

"She's booked in to go to Manhattan Rain next month,'' said trainer Stuart Kendrick.

Trevor Sutherland secured his 2nd consecutive premiership in convincing style with 2 winners at Narrandera's Sunday Full TAB Meeting.

Sutherland Started the day with the very promising galloper Banrokka Scoring an easy 2.3 length victory in the maiden and then topped the day off when one of his best performed horses Mr's Menzies lowered the colours of her much fancied rivals Winning the BM 60 handicap at the amazing odds of $26/1.

Sept De Coeurs Wins By Big Margin

FRENCH superlatives were flowing after two-year-old Sept De Coeurs' outstanding five-length win at a Sunshine Coast night meeting (July 27).

Sept De Coeurs is the French translation for Seven of Hearts.

She is aptly-named, being by Show A Heart and out of Seventh Heaven.

Shearer Clips Them In Adelaide

Promising 3yo Shearer demonstrated his staying promise by destroying a good field at Morphettville last weekend to give Peter Gelagotis win number 20 for the season which is a career best for the Gippsland based conditioner. After a very solid run at Sale over an unsuitable journey of 1500m Shearer looked well placed over the 1950m against his own age group and showed his class to win strongly with leading based Adelaide rider Paul Gatt on board.

First Up Win For Mighty Zambezi

The Brendan McCarthy trained Lonhro colt Mighty Zambezi scored a super impressive win at Echuca on 08/07/13 taking out the Dempsey Galvin Timber & Building Supplies Plate over 1200mt.

After settling midfield throughout the race the brakes were released before the 3yo colt took off and ran away winning by the good margin of 4.3 lengths.
